Role Summary:

The Product Manager manages an assigned portfolio of permeation products, ensuring a profitable and growing portfolio. This position will lead product strategy, product planning, product line positioning, product lifecycle management, and ongoing support initiatives of the assigned portfolio of products. This position will identify product enhancements to drive growth and improvement in the assigned product lines. Work collaboratively with multiple functions such as manufacturing, engineering, marketing, and sales to maximize the growth, development, and return on investment of the product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute innovation and product plans utilizing disciplined portfolio and innovation management processes and tools
  • Develop, implement, and monitor distribution and pricing strategies
  • Interact with engineering to ensure product design, quality and profitability goals are met.
  • Support the creation and execution of the marketing and commercialization plan for new products and existing product enhancements.
  • Initiate and support business cases for new product developments
  • Understand customer needs, industry requirements, product value in the market, and competitive positioning
  • Develop new product requirement specs for new product development
  • Create and maintain detailed competitive product information
  • Develop customer & market insights;  including sizing of market/segment/channel & competitive information
  • Develop and execute go to market strategies with sales partners, including channel & programming expansion
  • Initiate and provide direction for marketing communication activities for key verticals and channels
  • Successfully launch new products into sales channels
  • Product training and development of product knowledge in sales channels
  • Provide overall product roadmap priorities, implementation plan, and costs to senior leadership.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by the VP of Sales and Marketing
Education and Experience:
  • Bachler’s degree in engineering, business or related field.
  • 10 years’ of senior sales and marketing management experience required.
  • MBA preferred.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with lean initiatives and continuous improvement techniques preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-starter to initiate work and execute solutions.
  • Ability to work with minimal to moderate supervision.
  • Flexibility on work hours to assist with system troubleshooting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for maintaining confidential information.
Travel:
  • Domestic and international travel 20-30% of the time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
  • This is a full-time position. Standard business operation hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  These hours do not apply to all positions. Please consult with your supervisor on working hours for this position.  Also, this position may require additional hours of work as requested by business needs.
