Analytical Chemist II
MOCON, a world leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing high-tech measurement equipment and services has an immediate need for a self-motivated Analytical Chemist II to join our team.
This full-time position is responsible for providing consultation and developmental testing services to customers in a timely and cost effective manner by applying scientific expertise in planning and execution of lab testing and analysis. Performs contract analytical services on special projects related to the identification of aromas. Assists in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of specialty instrumentation manufactured by Microanalytics.
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Aroma detection experience preferred.
- Knowledge of good laboratory practices, techniques and testing processes.
- Experience in troubleshooting using chemical tests requiring judgment to select from multiple possible approaches.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft programs.
Inside Sales Representative
MOCON, a world leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing high-tech measurement equipment and services has an immediate need for a self-motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our team.
This full-time position will support all US Sales Team and Packaging Product Manager’s by serving as a key member of the marketing/sales team generating leads, qualifying leads and setting up appointments for sales visits and/or future sales conference calls. Position will require a minimum of: 200 calls/outreaches per week, 50 qualifying conversations per week and 20 qualified prospects per week turned over to Sales Team for further development. This position is responsible for using CRM for sales prospecting, keeping comprehensive, accurate notes in database, including company and industry research. Position will support Packaging Product Manager with specific OEM Development Programs as it relates to database coordination, quote coordination, and other sales support functions as well as work with Packaging Product Manager and Marketing on new campaigns to insure continued funnel of new leads.
Requirements Include:
- Associates degree.
- Experience with CRM, OneSource, and other available resources
- Experience with Packaging and/or Inside Sales.
- Be willing to learn product line.
- Strong organization and team building skills.
- Ability to take accurate and detailed notes

Human Resources Generalist I
We currently have an immediate opening for a self-motivated Human Resources Generalist I to join our team in the Corporate Headquarters.
This position supports the Human Resources Manager in various areas of the Human Resources function, including benefits, recruiting, payroll, compliance, employment records, and special projects.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Coordinates the recruiting and talent management process.
- Performs payroll entry for new-hires and changes in an accurate manner.
- Benefits administration.
- New hire orientation.
- Assists in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintains personnel files and employee directory.
- Reviews and uploads semi-monthly payroll reports. Resolves discrepancies with TPAs, Payroll and Accounting when needed.
- Acts as the contact person for employee questions and concerns. Keeps management advised of potential problem areas and recommends solutions as appropriate.
- Assists the HR Manager with various research projects and/or special projects.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, or other related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the HR field.
- Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers, to maintain the highly confidential nature required in Human Resources, and to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees.
- Ability to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail.
- Experience with ADP payroll products preferred.
